When it comes to bathroom products, you usually get what you pay for. I have had clients say to me “I’m not paying upwards of $300.00 for a tap, when I can go to Bunnings and buy one for $90.00” my reply to them is, “that’s true, but it may end up costing you more in the near future. Sure they give you a 5 year warranty, but it’s a parts only warranty. As tempting as they are, cheap tapware internals are inferior and do not last as long as good quality tap ware.
Let me give you a real-life example:
This is a picture of a shower rail that was purchased(not by us) a only year ago and one month later started rusting and staining. It was bought at a popular bathroom ware place in Osborne Park for about $80.00. This shower rail came with a 5 year manufacture warranty.
If we want to replace this shower head using the warranty given this is what we have to do:
1.Find the receipt.
2 . Call a plumber to come out and remove it. Usually plumber call-out fee is a minimum $180.00 inc GST.
3. Take the shower rail back to the store and have them replace it.
4. Call a plumber back out to install the new shower rail, another $180.00
If you wanted to avoid repeating this cost every year of so what you would do is buy a better shower rail for around $140.00.
The real cost of this shower rail is $440.00. You can repeat this every year or just spend a little extra at the start and get a product and labour warranty.
When you buy your bathroom and tap ware through us you will ALWAYS receive a parts and labour warranty. Which means, if something is wrong with the part, we send someone out there to inspect fix/replace the part at no extra cost to you.
We will never use or install low quality fittings in your bathroom. We stand by every inch of our bathroom renovations and don’t want anything to go wrong in the future.
The only tap ware we use and recommend is Phoenix and Hansgrohe.
Both carry a 15 year warranty.
